Evan Williams Explains Why he is leaving Twitter

People were in confusion when Twitter Co Founder Ev Williams stepped down as the CEO to make way for Dick Costolo. But, Williams confirmed regarding this on his blog post that he has checked out to work on completely new startup idea. However good news for Twitter team is that he agreed to continue serving on its board of directors and will participate frequently in their meetings.

In his post he explains that he left blogger(his first startup) when Google bought it out on a strong belief that it is in "solid ground and in capable hands". Just like blogger he feels that Twitter is also in safe hands today and his mind is also wandering after Costolo came in as new CEO. He didn't confirm on what exactly his new course of action would be like but gave some hints that there are plenty of problems in this world that needs some attention, and there are other individuals he would love to get the opportunity to work with and learn from. Lets all wish Good Luck ! to Ev with his new beginning :)

Orkut gets Like Feature that of Facebook

Gustavo Moura from Orkut wrote an article on their official blog where he mentions that they have made a visual upgrade to their interface by adding a 'Like' button which helps users to react quickly to their friends’ stories through smileys.

Though this new feature hasn't attracted much attention from anyone till now, there is some criticism circulating in the internet world by popular blogger's who believe that this new feature looks awkward wherein expressing your interest on someone's post through smileys doesn't sound cool. Whereas on Facebook you can 'Like' a post just by clicking the button(which shows that you have really liked that particular post).
